Directive No. 13

From the office of The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida THOMAS L. TURLINGTON, JR. Grand Master

To: The All Particular Lodges

It has been brought to my attention that the CDC guidelines of taking the temperature of all attendees upon entering events such as our Lodge Meetings and social events are not being followed. It is of the utmost importance that we continue to use this simple precaution of taking one’s temperature before they enter our events. It is the first line of defense to protect us from spreading COVID-19. Therefore, as Grand Master of Masons of Florida, I hereby ORDER AND DIRECT that at every Masonic event that assembles in any form a temperature reading shall be taken on every person that enters the event. Anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or greater will not be allowed to enter the event. All other CDC guidelines will continue to be enforced throughout the Jurisdiction of Florida; including hand sanitation stations being required; masks being required by all attendees; and social distancing will be enforced in addition to taking the temperature of all attendees.

Take due notice and govern yourselves accordingly.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Thomas L. Turlington, Jr.
Grand Master
